I am very pleased to present this course as a deep dive into how to develop and apply consistent 16th notes played with your lead hand. This is a very useful skill that admittedly eluded me in the beginning stages of my career. Whenever I had to play grooves that required consistent 16th notes with my right hand, I realized that I was very uncomfortable and ill-equipped to do so. I was surprised and confused as to why this was so challenging for me. Then I realized that most of my experience thus far had been rooted in rudimental drumming and New Orleans funk. Both of these approaches are mostly based off of hand to hand combinations. So, I had to come up with ways to develop strong consistent 16th notes with my lead hand.
